Childish Acts of Life

Technical Tiger

On the Brink

White

Fog Trees
blood water drank from a river wide

electronic fruit clawed from a wire

flashes of instinct shine on the copper tide

Childish Acts of Life

There's a big black gaping hole inside
where you belong

nothing in my surroundings makes my heart
pound in quite the same way
it does when I lie next to you
at night

a voice ringing, tingling in my ears
your presence is everywhere and all around me
my eyes don't focus quite as much
without you to gaze at

what lies behind pretty eyes,
how does blood flow beneath such beautiful skin,
where to go now

the air is crisp - reminiscent
of an airplane ride, wispy cloudy all around
cool and mechanical serenity shattered
by the noise of my life engine roaring

screaming bloody murder
a fish pulled from the water
hooked by fate, by internal torments
that toss feelings around

an empty space
darkness longing to be cluttered
by chunks of laughter and time spent together
doing crazy silly pretty childish acts of life
together
inside me
breathing

Technical Tiger

feel like a technical tiger
on the telephone, gently i growl at you
preparing for our next encounter

blood water drank from a river wide
electronic fruit clawed from a wire
flashes of instinct shine on the copper tide

late at night and out of sight
precision movements, special moments
catcalls by dark tempting light

On The Brink

Hot Wheels
There are days filled to the brim
With dead ends
Unforseen events
That change routine into pure chaos
Just a wrong turn, just miscalculated
Disaster or delay
Such a thin line
Careless moves and wrecked nerves
I wonder why I sometimes cry
A blur, reality on the brink, bizarre
Too many "if only I had's"
At the end of the day
But...
Aside from the practical lessons learned
What about the big picture
A stain on my peachy reality?
A reminder of our mortality?
An incentive to stay away from technology??

White

Fog Trees
today covers my body white,
tomorrow's leaves blow my way
discover yourself in me,
cover my body before you take leave

with playful tease slowly
crawl inside my dreams
with blinding ease, please
step in my green day-to-day existence

then it's midnight
the body clock cries out in vain
drip drip tears gently drip drip
but inside it's white again

come along just be yourself
and I'll try to be me

important thoughts aloft
mountain breeze and ocean beach

remember where to roam
inside the field of desires
decide what to take along
on the path of wants and whys
